The Universe and Life: Scientific Facts and the Paths of Contemplation They Naturally Open

The universe we inhabit, and our very bodies, are fundamentally composed of matter.
And it is scientifically evident that the amount of matter in the universe has a quantitative limit; it is considered finite.
This “finitude” serves as a crucial starting point for understanding the nature of existence itself.

Science reveals several unwavering facts common to both the cosmos and life.
The matter within the universe is finite, life is composed of the minimal unit, the cell, and cells autonomously engage in cycles of death and regeneration.
Standing upon these certain facts, we find that the universe and life share common structures: “Hierarchy” and “Circularity.”

The Cell as the Minimal Unit of Life

The facts clearly demonstrated by biology are as follows:

The cell is the minimal unit of life.
Phenomena defined as “life activities,” such as metabolism, proliferation, and environmental adaptation, are completed at the cellular level.

The human body functions through the coordination of approximately 37 trillion cells.

Cells reach the end of their lifespan within a certain period, repeating cycles of death and regeneration.
This is particularly evident in the skin, intestines, and blood.

Within the cell, complex yet autonomous molecular mechanisms exist.
For example,

ATP synthase rotates using the flow of ions, much like a waterwheel turning in a current, to generate energy.

Molecular motors that transport proteins (such as kinesin) autonomously move by converting energy, resembling tiny creatures walking on a track.

Just as humans use tools to conduct activities, cells also use tools to carry out theirs.

These are “facts” that have been observed and proven through microscopic imaging and biochemical experiments.

Nested Structure (A Fractal Perspective)

From this point, our contemplation naturally extends, built upon the foundation of reliable scientific facts.

Each of us is an aggregate of countless cells, and we live by roughly “managing” the state of these cells.
If we scale this perspective up, we observe the following hierarchical nested structure (Fractal Structure):

Aggregate of Cells = The Individual Self
Aggregate of Individuals = Humanity / Society
Aggregate of Celestial Bodies = Galaxy
Aggregate of Galaxies = The Entire Universe

While this “structure” itself is supported by science, what follows is an “inference” concerning the realm that science has yet to prove.

【Inference】Could the Universe also be a “Managed Aggregate”?

Just as we consciously regulate the state of our cells to maintain our health,
could the vast aggregate that is the Universe also be maintaining its order through some kind of “Owner” or “Governing Principle”?

This is not a religious assertion.
We present the following gently, as an “inference.”

【Inference】The Owner of the Universe and the Hierarchical Nested Structure

If the structure is hierarchical:
Cell → Individual → Society → Universe
then the natural inference follows:

Might there be a “Higher Layer” that governs and manages the Universe?

The idea that

The Owner of the Universe must eliminate “malice” or inconvenient behavior that disrupts the overall harmony of the cosmos

is also a natural extension of this nested structural perspective, just as we eliminate cancer cells within the body to preserve life.
The term “eliminate” here is used neutrally, meaning “maintenance of order,” not punishment or a religious concept.

【Inference】Every Life Possesses a “Core,” and its Quality Determines its Next Rebirth

As an inference, we can consider the following model of life:

Life vanishes as matter, but carries an informational unit, a kind of “Core.”

The next destination (hierarchy) for rebirth is determined by the core’s value and maturity.

Poor-quality, poorly copied cores → Lower-influence life (microbes, simple cells, etc.)

Matured, valuable cores → Rebirth as higher life (humans, animals, etc.)

The majority of rebirths are “cellular regenerations,” with high-level life rebirths being rare.

The Owner of the Universe, like a body removing cancer cells, relocates the core based on its state.

This is purely a “rational inferential model” based on observed patterns of finitude of matter, nested structure, and circulation,
and is not dependent on any specific religion.

It is an interesting coincidence that the Buddhist philosophy of reincarnation shares a similar structure,
but the contemplation presented here is not based on blind faith, but rather on a

hypothetical model naturally derived from the careful observation of the behavior of matter and life,
taking into account hierarchy and circulation.

【Inference】Finite Matter → Finite Life → Cycle of Annihilation and Rebirth

Since matter is finite, life—which is constructed from this matter—must also possess finitude.
This logic is scientifically consistent.

From this, the following inference emerges:

Life is finite.
The Universe continuously cycles matter.
Therefore, must not life also be cycling through “annihilation and rebirth”?

This resembles the concept of reincarnation intuitively grasped by many philosophies and religions,
but here it is treated not as religious dogma, but as an inference naturally derived from a “scientific foundation” of observation, structure, finitude, and circulation.

Summary: Scientific Facts and the Quiet Journey of Thought They Inspire

Science demonstrates the irrefutable facts that:
“The cell is the minimal unit of life.”
“The matter in the Universe is finite.”

And upon this certain foundation,
as we stack the universal structures of life, matter, order, and circulation,
we naturally arrive at profound contemplations: the existence of a Universal Administrator, the cyclical rebirth of life, and the maturation of the Core.

This is not proven science.
Yet, it is a rational inference born from the natural flow of thought,
and it can become a valuable starting point for us to quietly ask the Universe:
“Where do I come from, and where am I heading?”

You, yourself,
exist within this grand nested structure,
possessing a singular and unique “Core.”

How that Core matures,
and what role it will undertake next,

is something that your present way of life is slowly but surely shaping.
